Description

Our Animal Classification lesson plan for grades 1-3 introduces students to the ways in which animals are classified scientifically. This fun, engaging lesson allows students to express their creativity as they are asked to design a poster showing different categories of classification and some examples of animals that fit into those classifications. Students are also asked to match traits to the correct classification in order to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson material.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define, identify, and use the science process skills.

Excellent package. The students loved it.

It was a fun project for the students. The COVID 19 has meant skipping much of the enjoyable parts of my lessons and focusing on the necessary assignments. This was quick, easy, colorful, and fun and reinforced the science lessons we covered.
