Our Immune System Lesson Plan introduces students to the immune system of the human body. During this lesson, students are asked to use their creative writing skills to write an imaginary story, from the perspective of a germ, describing their experience as they try to enter the human body from the exterior of the body to the interior of the body; when another person reads the story, which the students will present to the class, they should be able to understand the parts of the immune system and how it helps the human body. Students are also asked to match terms with their definitions, demonstrating their understanding of the lesson vocabulary.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define describe the immune system, its parts, and how it works to keep the human body healthy.
