Our Late 19th Century lesson plan explores the events, people, and inventions from the Late 19th Century and their impact on the United States and the world. During this lesson, students are asked to read Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address several times and then write, using their own words, what it means to them. Students are also asked to write in the events/inventions/people from the content pages in the correct decade from the 19th century.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify events, people and inventions from the Late 19th Century and their impact on the United States and the world.
