Description

Our Molecules and Matter lesson plan explores matter by comparing and contrasting atoms, molecules, and compounds. During this lesson, students are asked to complete a crossword puzzle using lesson vocabulary, demonstrating their understanding of the definitions of the vocabulary. Students are also asked to participate in a class discussion and brainstorm about what counts as molecules or matter and why, allowing students to come up with their own ideas and make connections to the real world.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to recognize the differences between atoms, molecules, and compounds as it relates to matter.
