Sunrise and Sunset

$0.00

In our Sunrise and Sunset lesson plan, students learn how and why the sun rises and sets. They will also consider the differences between sunrises and sunsets and practice their writing skills by describing both.

Description

Our Sunrise and Sunset lesson plan introduces students to the basic differences between sunrise and sunset, including why the surrounding sky or sun may be different colors. During this lesson, students are asked to use their creativity to make two posters, one about sunrises and one about sunsets, including drawings and facts about each. Students are also asked to rewrite given false statements about sunrises and sunsets and change them to true statements, demonstrating their understanding of the lesson material.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define sunrise and sunset and identify the cause of sunrise and sunset.

Great Resource

I needed a resource for home learning since I did not have access to my regular curriculum. The reading was thorough (more like late fourth grade reading level) and I liked the poster idea.

Excellent quality!

I downloaded 4 lessons plans: 2 or Science grade 1 and 2 for Grammar grade 1. All of them are excellent quality. Hard to imagine they are free. This was my first time using them. Next time when I download lesson plans from Clarendon, I will definitely donate some money! Thank you so much!

Perfect for our level

My daughter is in 2nd grade and we both enjoyed this lesson. She was able to challenge herself and still learn from it. I am grateful for this lesson.
