The Human Ear

In our The Human Ear lesson plan, students learn about the parts of the human ear and how it’s connected to the rest of the body. Students learn the functions of each part of the ear and label a diagram of a human ear.

Our The Human Ear lesson plan digs deep into the anatomy of the human ear. The concepts of sound and sound waves are reiterated in this hands-on lesson, which also leverages physical activity to demonstrate dizziness and explore the ear’s role in maintaining our equilibrium. During this lesson, students are asked to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson material by correctly labeling the parts of an ear, in addition to other practice activities and worksheets.

At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to identify the parts of the human ear and explain how the ear functions in order for humans to understand sound.
