$0.00

In our Zero lesson plan, students will learn how to use the number zero, its history, and why it is important in mathematics. They will use a creative writing exercise to solidify their understanding of the lesson and will practice using zeros in various math problems.

Description

Our Zero lesson plan introduces the concept and history of zero, which enables students to define and identify uses for zero. Students are asked to use their creativity to draft a story with Zero as a character, building their confidence and using their presentation skills when they share their stories with the class. Students are also asked to solve problems in which they multiply, subtract, or add zero and answer questions about the use and function of zero to demonstrate their understanding.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define zero, identify uses for zero, and give a brief history of zero.

easy to use

It was useful and easy to incorporate into my lessons about numbers as we are focusing on individual numbers. It was good with fill in sheets for teacher response.
